Ongoing Events: 

Weekly Online Tournament (WOT):

Every Monday Night from 8-9pm we host an online tournament on chess.com! Keep an eye out for a variety of different formats including Fischer Random (Chess960), Bullet and special openings! 

Daily Boards:

As a staple of the Chess Club, the Daily Boards (and Xiangqi) are located between the Robert Webster Building and the Quadrangle. They will be out every week, Monday to Fridays from 10am-5pm (weather permitting). Message in #looking-for-game in our discord to find any players nearby looking for a game!

Weekly Puzzles:

We are trialling new weekly puzzles on instagram stories for you to solve!! Have fun and interact with them!!

Upcoming Term 2 Events: 

HobbyCon (Wk 7, July 15):

Remember Games Galore? Discovery Fest? Weren't around for those? That's ok! Hobbycon brings to you more than 30 clubs for creativity, gaming and hobbies! Chess club will be there. See you at the RoundHouse (UNSW) from 12pm-7pm!!

International Chess Day (Wk 8, July 20): 

To celebrate, we will have an online puzzle event and blitz tournament as well! Stay tuned for more info!

Stress Less Week (Wk 8):

As per every term, our stall will be out in the quad from Tuesday-Thursday. Let's put the chess in stress less!

Mystery Collab (Wk 9-10):

A possible collab in these weeks! Stay tuned on our socials to find out who it is with!

End of Term 2 Tournament (Wk 12)

Compete in the esteemed tri-annual traditional event and win up to $200! The tournament will be 9 rounds, in a Swiss format, with a nicely paced 5|3 time control.

Date: TBD, likely late August/early September depending on exam block.
